An Osteria in Ostuni | Casa Ciaccia

Found at the outer edge of Ostuni's Centro Storico, Casa Ciaccia is an undisputed gem when it comes to Pugliese cuisine, hospitality, and ambience. Specializing in seasonal dishes that reflect the region's passion for quality and local-grown produce, Casa Ciaccia is one-of-a-kind and a spot that you must visit if you ever find yourself in Ostuni.

Spread across two floors, the osteria is in a prime location. More likely than not, its ivy-covered exterior or olive tree courtyard will have caught your eye upon arrival. Every visit to Ostuni, we always pass by Casa Ciaccia on our way into the center. But this time, we decided to finally try it out for ourselves and we're happy to say that it is now our favorite spot.

The service that we received was honestly unmatched and the best that I've experienced in Puglia at a restaurant. And that is all thanks to Mirko and the amazing team at Casa Ciaccia. We were in Ostuni that evening to check out options for a welcome party venue (one of the many wedding-related errands we did on this last trip to Puglia) and were already quite convinced by the hospitality and ambience alone.

And then, the menu tasting came around. Dish after dish, wine after wine - we were on cloud 9 trying all this food and were the happiest people rolling out of there at the end. I was having flashbacks to our wedding tasting - yes, it was that good.

Casa Ciaccia's specialty is simple Pugliese cuisine at the highest quality. You can tell how fresh all ingredients are by just tasting them. I will always be partial to places that use local produce, and Casa Ciaccia takes it to another level by sourcing vegetables from their own garden a few metres from the restaurant.

We were so impressed by everything and cannot wait to be back later this summer with all our loved ones.

Grazie mille Casa Ciaccia!!
