Located inside a historic listed building called Sessions House, Sessions Art Club is yet another London restaurant to go TikTok viral and for good reason. According to its website, the urban sanctuary sits in what used to be an old judges' dining room and is composed of a restaurant, bar and performance space. As soon as you walk into the dining room, you are greeted by the host and an incredible atmosphere. Romantic and candle lit, this is THE spot for date night. But I hear that it's equally as stunning during the daytime - when you can fully take in all the colors and details of the space itself.
I've been wanting to check this place out for months. And since reservations open 30 days in advance, I booked a table for two the weekend I'd be back in the UK. It was our first date night of 2023 and we had to go all out.
With a menu that changes seasonally, we sought out to try what interested us the most. Looking at the minimalist menu, you just know that the food is going to be of the highest quality. This is definitely a place that focuses on quality and presentation - think The Menu, but minus all the theatrics. Actually, it was quite the experience to see how the chef executed each and every plate. My favorites were the Brown shrimp croquette and Potato with parmesan & pepper. Mario loved the lamb. We also tried the Sea bream and beef tartare, which were also amazing. To end, we took the Ginger cake & cream. I can really appreciate a dessert that isn't overpoweringly sweet.
I'd have to say though that the space itself is what truly sold me on the experience. The dining room is absolutely stunning and pictures don't do it justice. You just have to take my word that it's a place you want to see at least once.
