September 2022, Disneyland
Remember those Disney kids from the 90's? They're old now (it's me, I'm old).
Earlier this month, my sister, mom and I finally got around to using the Disneyland tickets they purchased pre-COVID. My family initially bought these tickets to celebrate my sister's birthday back in April 2020... It's crazy to think that these past couple of years have been marked by the pandemic, and we're *fingers crossed* finally on the other side of it.
Going to the Parks in September there's always a 50/50 (maybe more like 70/30) chance that you'll go during the week/s that southern California has our annual heat wave. This first weekend of the month was part of this 70% chance, and let's just say that walking around Disneyland in 90+ degree weather is not for the faint-hearted. We found solace in the frozen treats (like Dole Whip and chocolate-covered Mickey-shaped ice cream), water rides, and air-conditioned shops. It was so freaking hot, but we still managed to have a lot of fun at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Once a Disney kid, always a Disney kid.
